Drytac® (Richmond, VA) recently acquired adhesive-coating company, Multi-Tac Inc. (Toronto) and sold its Liquid Coatings Div. to Advanced Finishing Technologies (Conover, NC) as Drytac shifts its business strategy.

By acquiring the 25-year-old company, Drytac will gain increased coating, slitting and sheeting capacity. Drytac expects to grow its specialty, custom-coating services in North America, while Multi-Tac customers in Europe and the Middle East will be able to source products from Drytac Europe (Bristol, UK).

The sale to Advanced will include UV coaters and UV liquid coatings. Drytac will retain its aqueous (water-based) liquid-coating division, which offers both aqueous liquid coaters and liquid coatings to customers in the graphics-finishing market.
