Epson (Long Beach, CA) is presenting its 64-in.-wide, Epson® SureColor™ F7170 printer that extends its line of F-Series dye-sublimation printers designed for production of flags, banners, home furnishings and apparel. The F7170 features Epson’s 1-in.-wide, MicroPiezo® TFP® printhead and its UltraChrome® DS ink system. The printhead features 360 nozzles per channel (capable of handling ten separate ink channels) and low-vibration meniscus control for accurate ink-dot shape and placement. It also features Wasatch’s SoftRIP TX (it allows you to start printing “out-of-the-box”), a newly designed take-up reel and substrate system for transfer paper and textile applications, a high-capacity ink tank (with refillable bags); and a new post-platen heater that accelerates print drying times.
