Franklin Pressure-Sensitive Adhesive

Franklin Adhesives and Polymers® (Columbus, OH), a division of Franklin Intl., is introducing Covinax® , a pressure-sensitive adhesive that bonds vinyl to diverse substrates. According to the company, outdoor-grade Covinax was formulated to bond vinyl lettering to metals and plastics, among other substrates, and reportedly offers good peel and tack with tough shear strength. Franklin states Covinax’s high shear strength facilitates the die-cutting process because it reduces adhesive build-up on the cutting blades, which keeps blades dry and reduces printer misfeeds.
