Fujifilm North America’s Acuity Printer

Fujifilm (Valhalla, NY) displayed its Acuity LED 1600, a new printer that incorporates fast-curing LED/UV-cure ink; extended lamp life; low power consumption; and a high-precision, high-speed printhead. The eight-color printer (CMYKcmW, clear) feature intelligent curing-control technology, VersaDrop jetting technology, simultaneous single-pass printing of color, white, and clear inks, and a reusable cartridge and replaceable ink-pouch system. The 1,200-dpi, LED 1600 prints R2R media, plus rigid substrates up to ½-in. thick on media up to 63 in. wide.
