GMG Announces GMG OpenColor 2.2

GMG (Tübingen, Germany) has released GMG OpenColor 2.2, a software update to its profiling solution that is headlined by spectral data-based optimization of measurement data.

GMG OpenColor creates accurate color proofing and separation profiles based on characterization of the scheduled print production – and with the update, users can generate an accurate color profile in only a few steps. In OpenColor, data is created, and then must be optimized. Previously, users relied on third-party software for enhancing measurement data. The optimization is based directly on the measured spectral data, which is then processed via our spectral model, said GMG Product Manager Peter Schöffler.
