JCDecaux Installs Digital Branding at JFK

JCDecaux North America recently contracted Diversified Media Group (DMG), Kenilworth, NJ, to engineer, integrate and manage a massive digital signage display at American Airlines’ newest and largest hub, Terminal 9, in JFK Intl. Airport.

The installation features 70-in. HD1080P LCD screens, arranged in eight arrays of five screens each. Forty screens dominate each side of the connecting tunnel, which runs from ticketing to the baggage claim. DMG uses C-Nario software to coordinate playback, which can synchronized across some or all of the screens. Both arriving and departing passengers can view the digital signage. A sound system synchronizes with the moving digital content.

Microsoft sponsors the signage. DMG provided full system development, implementation and support services to JCDecaux and Microsoft for the creative launch of the Vista operating system. The displays can change periodically to showcase Microsoft’s new initiatives.
