Kett Tool (Cincinnati) is presenting its KD-441 scissor shears, which reportedly provide precision cuts on cold-rolled, mild steel, wire mesh, plastic and rubber with a swiping-cut action that seals cut material, which reduces the likelihood of rust and corrosion. The shears use a 5-amp pistol grip and a variable-speed motor that cuts 24-gauge mild steel, 18-gauge wire mesh, spiral pipe, metal studs and other materials at up 2,500 strokes per minutes. The tool has an adjustable cutting speed that may be adjusted to enhance usage with different materials. Shear heads are U.S.-made with A-2 tool-steel blades that provide prolonged durability.
