Light-Diffusing Polycarbonate Sheet

Altuglas Intl. of Arkema Inc. (Philadelphia) is introducing Tuffak® XL polycarbonate sheet that offers light diffusion and weathering characteristics. The company says the product is 300 time stronger than single-strength glass. Produced via a process that creates a built-in UV barrier, the sheet offers extended life, longer-term yellowing resistance, greater diffusion properties to hide light sources, and higher transmission properties to lower power requirements, according to the company.

The company is also launching a web-based purchasing service, https://plexiglaswebstore.com, which streamlines the process for ordering Plexiglas acrylic sheet and Tuffak polycarbonate sheet samples. Customers can access the online store to view and order sample chips, sheet and chip chains of various colors, grades and sizes.
