Looking for Sign Mounting Info and More in July’s Inbox

Oops, We Did It Again

  • Apologies to Angela Hensarling, Boyd Sign Systems (Englewood, CO), who was previously misidentified in a few issues as Angela Goffstown. Thank you for contacting us on this correction.
  • On ST, May 2024, page 20, the photo of the MUTOH printer is incorrectly labeled. It should have read “XpertJet 1682SR Pro.” Also, on ST, June 2024, page 37, the photo from Michael Johnson, Henry Graphics (Buford, GA), is among the photos that he sent but it does not match the description. We apologize for these errors.

Article Appreciation

  • I just recently took over as owner and am a female. Really enjoyed the article about the women in the sign industry (see ST, April 2024, page 26). Thank you! We are always looking for tips on office management and marketing. — Kelly Bookheimer, The Mad Signist, Myrtle Beach, SC
  • The article about mixing the seasoned employees with new was spot on (see ST, June 2024, page 39). It is definitely a balancing act of training old dogs new tricks and keeping the new members engaged and understanding less is more in graphic design. — Dawn Homa, Signarama Brighton, Brighton, CO
  • I enjoyed the ADA sign guide (see ST, May 2024, page 30). — Steve Rowe, SpeedPro Affinity Solutions, Sarasota, FL

Gathering Ideas

  • I always like to hear policies for when clients miss items on proofs that have been approved and the item has been made. — Jeffrey Chudoff, Fastsigns of Maple Shade, Maple Shade, NJ
  • I would love to see an informational article about mounting hardware and adhesives, what to use when and where. For example, I want to hang an ACM panel on the wall with no visible hardware, or what to use for channel letters on glass, etc. — Sara Geiger, Fox Cities Sign, Appleton, WI
  • I like the management articles. — Cody McElroy, Commercial Signs, Houma, LA
  • I am curious to know about [the June Brain Squad] survey’s topic: increasing company morale. Managing projects with $20K daily LDs every day of late can be a bit of a pressure cooker. Hostility and loud demands are not the answer on any level. What do other companies do to maintain some level of sanity through their workforce? — Matt Robinson, Eastern Sign Tech, Burlington, NJ

Toward the Future

  • You’re doing a great job, so glad there is still a printed sign magazine out there. Maybe an article on the next generation of signmakers. I have two sons that need to be inspired. ; ) — Dennis Schaub, FastTrack Signs, Bellefontaine, OH
