Mean Well’s HLG-240 and HGL-240H Power Supplies

Mean Well (Fremont, CA) is adding the HLG-240 and HLG-240H series to its high IP-level product family to fulfill the market’s higher wattage requirements. With built-in, active, PFC function, the HLG-240H series features 90~305VAC, wide-range AC input (90~264VAC for HLG-240). The company says this meets the harmonic current limitation, per EN61000-3-2 Class C, HLG-240(H), and fulfills PF>0.9, if loading more than 65%. In addition, these two power units possess 4KV surge immunity (EN61000-4-5) ability which complies with the requirements of streetlighting.
The two series are fully potted by heat-dissipating glue, so they can reach IP65 or IP67 waterproof/dustproof level. With LLC and synchronize-rectify technology, HLG-240(H) possesses up to 94% high efficiency,  and it meets the requirements of outdoor assembly. Beside standard protection functions for short circuit, over voltage, overload and over temperature, HLG-240(H) has four options (A/B/C/blank type) in different mechanisms and input/output design for selection. I/O connection can be changed by output cable or terminal block, which allows users a flexible installation in various systems.
