Tech8 (Maidenhead, Berkshire, England), a technical-support provider has announced it will merge with Colorific (also Maidenhead), a supplier of alternative inks, effective June 1. The merger, which expands the previously announced, strategic alliance between the two businesses, will strengthen both company’s capabilities. Tech8’s in-house R&D facility will help Colorific broaden its portfolio and, also, cut the time to market for any new inks. The merger will also allow Tech8 to concentrate on one corporate line. Following the merger, the Tech8 brand and sales activity will focus on positioning Tech8 as a cost-effective wholesale provider of printer spares.
