Mitsubishi Electric Installs Diamond Vision LED Screen at Kumamoto’s KKWING Stadium

Mitsubishi Electric Corp. (Tokyo) has installed a 43.3 x 34.9-ft. (13.2 x 7.6-meter) Diamond Vision LED display system at KKWING Stadium in Kumamoto City, Japan. The 600-in. screen, which replaced the previous electric-discharge-tube screen installed 10 years ago, provides brighter and higher-resolution live videos for the visitors of the Kumamoto Prefecture’s multiple-use athletics stadium, which is also one of the main home stadiums for the J2 soccer team Roasso Kumamoto.
Incorporating high-luminance LEDs aligned vertically and horizontally in a 12.5mm dot pitch and the latest digital-screen controllers, the screen trims energy consumption by 80%, compared to the previous screen.
