GoVision (Argyle, TX) is providing the video wall and related production elements for the 2010 NCAA Division 1 Men’s Championships at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. This is the second consecutive year GoVision, a supplier of turnkey mobile LED unites and customized modular LED wall, has provided the octagonal LED video wall that’s suspended above the court for the Final Four games.
In partnership with the NCAA, GoVision configured eight, 15 x 28-ft. Daktronics PST 12HD screens to create the 36,680-lb. video wall, which is suspended 60 ft.
The video-wall screens were pulled from the outside plazas at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, TX, as part of GoVision’s unique partnership with the Dallas Cowboys.
The NCAA crowd will also enjoy a 50-ft.-long, courtside ribbonboard, which will display sponsor logos, stats and other high-definition graphics. The 30-in.-high screen comprises Daktronics high-resolution modular PST-6i-b panels.
“It’s always exciting being a part of an event that’s watched by the whole country, but we’re getting pretty used to the pressure,” said Chris Curtis, GoVision’s CEO. “Our team knows how to execute when the stakes are highest, which is why we have such a strong track record of repeat business from blue-chip clients like the NCAA.”
