The Mosaica Group (Sussex, WI) has announced a partnership with Summa America (Beverly, MA), which allows The Mosaica Group to offer Summa’s laser cutting technology to the signage, tradeshow event, apparel, textile and retail markets.
The Mosaica Group will provide clients with Summa’s L Series of laser cutting systems, including the L1810 laser cutter and the L3214. The L1810 laser cutter is especially suitable to cut textiles, such as sportswear, dye sublimation garments, and also a variety of raw materials used in the composite industry, per the release.
Similar to the L1810 in that it cuts while the fabric feeds across the table, eliminating time-consuming steps in the process, the L3214 laser cutter covers a 10.5-ft. width. With the advanced camera technology, the cutter continuously scans the material and is able to automatically convert the design into a cutting vector, enabling cutting up to 8,600 sq. ft./hr.
We now have a complete and comprehensive dye sublimation solutions portfolio with the addition of fabric laser cutting equipment due to our partnership with Summa America, said Randy Peters, president and CEO, The Mosaica Group. As our clients look at ways to enhance their capabilities, we can make bundle or package recommendations that offer significant savings for investing in everything from equipment such as the high-speed Panthera S4 dye sublimation printer to heat presses, plus ink, transfer and tissue paper, along with in-house paper converting services.
