NCCCO Offers Crane-Inspector Certification

The National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO) and Crane Certification Assn. of America (CCAA) have launched a national, crane-inspector certification program with separate certifications for mobile, tower and overhead cranes.

A 45-member task force representing the NCCCO, CCAA and various industries collaborated to create the program, which allows people with five years of crane-related experience to become certified in crane inspection. Experiential requirements include positions as a crane inspector, operator, mechanic, technician or shop foreman, as well as related education (two years of education count as one year of practical experience).
