NSREC’s Incredible Program, October 12-13

If you’re within 300 miles of Cincinnati (the list of sizeable cities in that radius includes Charleston (WV), Chicago, Cleveland, Columbus, Dayton, Detroit, Indianapolis, Knoxville, Lexington, Louisville, Nashville and Pittsburgh), mark your calendar for October 12-13 and plan to attend the National Signage Research & Education Conference at the Kingsgate Marriott on the University of Cincinnati (UC ) campus. The program is phenomenal if you want documentation on the value of on-premise signs.

Licensed appraiser Richard Bass will provide case histories that prove how the addition/loss of a sign can make or break a business. UC professors will present preliminary results from a survey of end users, along with documented case histories, that prove the value of signs.

Do you find that electronic message centers are coveted by end users, but often misunderstood and maligned by government officials? Mike Freeborg discusses their value to end users and municipalities (including tax revenue) in a presentation that has received nationwide praise from the sign industry and planners alike.

The fourth annual conference’s status has grown to attract Harry Alford, president and CEO of the National Black Chamber of Commerce, who has staunchly spoken out about the critical importance of signs for businesses. His topic will be "Impact of Signage on Economic Development and the Need for Commonsense Zoning Laws and Regulations.”

You can’t miss this conference. But perhaps even more important than your being there, bring your customers, planners and perhaps any business/marketing-oriented academicians with you. They will absolutely leave with incredible data they didn’t even know existed. All attendees receive a notebook of the presentations. Go to The Signage Foundation’s website  to read about all of the presentations, and to register.
