O Say, Can You See These Wraps?

Ralph Barbee, who’s already well known in the Augusta, GA area thanks to his regional TV show, Fishin’ with Ralph Barbee, wanted his boat and the SUV and trailer that haul it to remind motorists and his audience the sacrifices U.S. soldiers make. He enlisted Jeff Poitevint’s Augusta-based Sign*A*Rama franchise to outfit the vehicles. After designing the program using SA Intl.’s Flexi-Sign software to devise the SUV and trailer graphics and Photoshop for the boat, shop fabricators produced the boat and trailer graphics on the shop’s Roland SolJet Pro II SC-545EX six-color, solvent-ink printer with Oracal cast media.

To bedeck the SUV, Poitevint’s team produced a wrap on its HP 8000s wide-format printer using Arlon’s DPF 6000XRP with X-Scape air-release technology. A pressure-applied laminate will preserve Old Glory and other star-spangled graphics against water and road damage.
