ONYX Graphics, Inc. (Salt Lake City) is announcing its ONYX® Thrive™ version 1.2 print with added support for the Roland® SOLJET® PRO4 XR-640 large format printer/cutter. The printer driver is available for all Onyx RIP version X10.2 software packages and supports the XR-640’s Eco-Sol MAX® 2 ink set that features light black ink, optional white and metallic silver inks. The scalable Thrive software is based on Adobe® PDF Print Engine technology; version 1.2 comprises several universal profiles for various banner and vinyl media. It also includes the PowerChroma™ Black Generation tool with a gray-color, replacement-plus feature;. Other features comprise white and specialty ink tools; a recalibration tool; and automated color profiling with Black Diamond tools. The software also includes network licensing and a production manager that allows customized print workflow.
