Pantone (Carlstadt, NJ), best known for a propriety color space called the Pantone Matching System used in the graphic design and printing industries, has named PANTONE 17-3938 Very Peri its 2022 Color of the Year.
In a release, the company said the color encompasses the qualities of the blues and possesses a violet-red undertone. Very Peri’s designation marks the first time that Pantone has created a new color for its Color of the Year program.
Pantone describes the color:
