Philips LEDs Illuminate Boston’s Prudential Tower

Philips Electronics (Burlington, MA) announced that Philips Color Kinetics designed and installed LED lighting fixtures for Boston’s Prudential Tower. The landmark skyscraper is now illuminated with more than 25 ColorReach Powercore high-performance LED floodlights, which were installed on the building’s crown to saturate the skyline with vivid colors and color-changing effects. The architectural floodlights can natively generating millions of colors without thee need for gels or filters. The color scheme can be changed at any time to support local events, whether to cheer on a local sports team, celebrate holidays, or reflect the brand colors of individual organizations to promote their events.

The Shops at Prudential Center kicked off its “31 Nights of Light” campaign December 1. Each night in December, ColorReach Powercore floodlights display the brand colors of Boston-area philanthropic organizations to increase visibility of local organizations, while providing a visual focal point for Boston residents and visitors.
Philips LED floodlights have been used on such international landmarks as the CN Tower in Toronto, the Sky Tower in Auckland and the EuroMast in Rotterdam.
