Seoul Semiconductor’s LEDs Applied to Cruise Liner

Seoul Semiconductor LED products were selected for the external balcony lights of Oasis of the Seas, reportedly the world’s largest cruise liner, which made its inaugural voyage December 5, 2009.
Seoul Semiconductor’s LED products were supplied to all cabin balconies through a British lighting specialist company. The Cruise Balcony Light consumes 4.5W and uses three, Seoul Semiconductor LEDs. The LED products, combined with the phosphor technology and packaging capacity, offer a 100lm/W luminous efficacy from a single light source.
The Balcony Cruise lights will also be installed for Allure of the Seas, a sister ship that will be launched in late 2010 by Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd.
