Plaskolite (Columbus, OH) has launched OPTIX-L Black/White, a continuous cast acrylic sheet that appears black in daylight and white when backlit at night.

Per Plaskolite, OPTIX-L Black/White removes the need for perforated vinyl to attain the same coloring effect. Available in stock at a thickness of 0.177 in., the OPTIX-L Black/White is designed for indoor and outdoor applications.

“This product eliminates the need for a second layer to achieve the desired effect under daylight or nighttime conditions, reducing material costs and streamlining sign construction,” said Jim Richards, vice president of Plaskolite’s Industrial Division.
