More than 20,000 sign-industry professionals will attend ISA’s International Sign Expo, which takes place April 24-26 at Orlando’s Orange County Convention Center, for various reasons. Whether it’s to reconnect with equipment vendors, partners or suppliers, gain education about new products or services, or simply to look for showroom deals on equipment, the tradeshow is a vital forum for forging relationships that build both the individual business and the overall industry.
Numerous Sign Expo events underscore the sign business’ continuing evolution. First, dynamic-digital signage (DS) again enjoys a prominent place at this year’s tradeshow. On April 23, Dynamic Digital Signage Education Day will take place at the hall, and will address content management, selling DS, project management and other pertinent topics. The Dynamic Digital Park, a segment of the show floor devoted entirely to DS, returns. Also, E4, an event sponsored by Almo Professional A/V that serves DS dealers and resellers, will be co-located with the Sign Expo on the 23rd.
ISA will partner with SEGD to conduct the Design + Connections Workshop, a full-day session on April 24 that will feature such topics as signage and ADA accessibility, placemaking and technology and media. Regulatory issues, sales and technical education will be other seminar topics.
The exhibit hall will include nearly 600 booths that will feature the full breadth of the equipment and tools that fuel this industry. Through April 25, ISA will allow attendees to vote on the Best New Product and Best Green Product on display at the show.
The say the only constant is change; that applies doubly to industry. Not attending the tradeshows that serve our industry may leave you at a competitive disadvantage for understanding and embracing new products and services available to the market. ST hopes that you’ll support the industry, its key organizations, and, above all, yourself by attending the 2014 Sign Expo.
