R Tape Europe (Aalter, Belgium) is presenting Hotmask, a 75-micron, polyethylene (PET) application and protection tape that’s designed for printed, heat-transfer materials. The PET media features a removable, heat-resistant, modified-acrylic adhesive that’s available in self-wound or lined versions. According to the company, Hotmask is reusable for up to four applications, resists temperatures up to 166° C for one minute, and available in three different tack levels. Offerings include HM 300, a self-wound, polyester film with a low-tack adhesive; HM 350, a self-wound, medium-tack adhesive film; HM 375, a self-wound material with a high-tack adhesive; and HM 375L, a lined tape with a high-tack, removable adhesive. The company recommends low- or medium-tack Hotmask for polyurethane or vinyl, and high-tack for flock films and domed materials.
