Roland DGA Corporation (Irvine, CA) has announced its University 2010 schedule which will feature its Digital Printing Boot Camp, Born to Wrap Workshops, webinars and more. Offered in Irvine, CA, online, and in various cities, the Roland University workshops will provide attendees in-depth knowledge of Roland equipment, software and supplies. In addition, students will learn new workflows and applications to help them increase their profits and expand their businesses.
David Goetter, an industry teacher who, for 15 years, has trained businesses on large-format, digital-printing fundamentals, will teach the Digital Printing Boot Camp workshops. The three-day workshops comprise detailed instructions on top, sign-industry applications. Students will also complete a professional, sample-projects book that’s based on the applications. The class also covers new, inkjet-production methods, finishing techniques, sales, pricing and service strategies.
Now in its fourth year, the Born to Wrap workshop teaches professionals how to profit from the vehicle-graphicsmarket — from estimating to the finished wrap. Students will work with Digital EFX Wraps experts to wrap an entire vehicle. The hands-on class includes an overview of media and lamination options.
The Indoor and ADA Signage workshop teaches rotary-engraving fundamentals and indoor- and ADA-signage production. Roland product managers will teach students to maximize their Roland engraver for the best possible results; they’ll also demonstrate the tools, software and various production techniques. After having completed the workshop, participants will be ready to produce professional ADA-compliant signage.
Roland DGA will also present Engraving and Custom Apparel Workshops, the R-Wear Rhinestone Apparel Decoration Workshop and Giftware, Awards and Recognition Workshops; an MPX Series Online Workshop and SV Series Online Workshop
