Sign Company Makes 3rd Acquisition in Last 10 Years

Johnson Sign (Jackson, MI) has acquired Amor Sign Studios (Manistee, MI), a fourth-generation shop that was founded in 1946, Our Midland reports.

Johnson Sign’s management – including President Jay Johnson, his sons Jim and Will, and Financial Director Rachel Shafer – has been onboarding the Amor team over the past several weeks, the article says.

“It has been a blessing to see our employees knock out the manufacturing backlog that Johnson Sign brings to our shop,” said Tom H. Amor, president of Amor Sign, in a news release. “We couldn’t be happier with the way Johnson Sign is working with our employees. The Johnsons are quality people and share our family business history and values. It is a good fit.”

Johnson Sign was founded in 1964. In the last decade, the company has acquired Douglas Sign in Lansing and Huron Sign in Ypsilanti.
