Sign Manufacturing Day 2017 Included More Than 3,700 Participants

Earlier this month, 62 Intl. Sign Assn. (ISA; Alexandria, VA) member companies in 67 settings across the US and Canada welcomed more than 3,700 participants for Sign Manufacturing Day 2017. Established in 2013 and held the first Friday in October, Sign Manufacturing Day was developed to showcase the careers available in the sign, graphics and visual communications industry.

The ISA says that multiple companies reported participants completing job applications after facility tours concluded. Also, the Sign Research Foundation hosted university students and professors of interior design, landscape architecture and urban planning at a workshop in partnership with Michigan State Univ.’s School of Planning, Design and Construction. The get-together incorporated teachings on signage, sign fabrication and wayfinding within a campus setting.
