Twenty years ago, the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers made their TV debut, and they quickly captured the imagination of kids (now millennial young adults) worldwide with colorful characters and effective merchandising. Two decades later – the ensemble is now known simply as Power Rangers – the helmet-clad crimefighters live on with new episodes on kids’ network Nickelodeon. The network’s PR agency contacted SkinzWraps’ NYC office to wrap a promotional bus that’s part of a Big Apple promotional stop.
The process began by tweaking client-furnished artwork with Adobe CreativeSuite6, which according to shop manager Matt Salaverry, entailed reformatting the artwork and adjusting the graphics to maximize visual impact. To complete the 1,225-sq.-ft. wrap, the shop produced the job on Avery’s MPI 1005 Supercast Easy Apply RS that’s produced on its Epson Stylus Pro GS 6000 with Ultrachrome GS low-VOC inks. The shop installed the wrap such that the panels matched the window’s natural seams to hide them from view.
