Summer Is Just Around the Corner, and 3 More June Occasions to Mark on Shop Calendars

2 National Leave the Office Early Day is JUNE 2. Employee productivity specialist Laura Stack created the day as a reminder to employees to take time for themselves. So if you’re an owner or manager, let ’em go early today — and feel free to join!

7 is National Running Day, celebrated annually on the first Wednesday in June. If you’re a dedicated runner, this day’s for you. If you’re thinking about trying running for exercise, today’s as good a day as any to start.

16 We celebrate National Fudge Day on JUNE 16 because we love fudge! Bring some into the shop and office or hold a contest to find out who makes the most delicious chocolate, peanut butter, maple or other fudge. Have fun, but…

21 Enjoy JUNE 21, the official day Summer Begins in the Northern Hemisphere. It can also be the Summer Solstice, the longest day of the year, depending on the time zone in which you live. Just try not to think that tomorrow, the days already start getting shorter.
