That Sinking Feeling

Drivers dread them every winter or spring and, with government budget cutbacks, they remain a year-round danger to your car: potholes. After a cold winter whose chill stretched into April, motorists on West Seattle’s Beach Drive, a main thoroughfare, endured a heavy ration of potholes. One anonymous weisenheimer (seemingly with a latent desire to become a signmaker) decorated a cardboard slab and filled this then-vacant wayfinding-sign frame to convey his frustration with “axle busters.”
