The EPS Element Digital Printers

Maidenhead, Berkshire, England-based International Graphics Sourcing (IGS), a U.K./ Europe product supplier for the large-format, digital-print industry and publisher of the web-based, Large Format Review newsletter, has introduced its Element Print Science (EPS) line of aqueous-based, “green,” inkjet printers that includes three machines equipped with Epson, drop-on-demand, piezo printheads. The product line includes the 24-in.-wide (610mm) Atom 24; 44-in.-wide (1.2m) Atom 44; and 64-in.-wide (1.6m) Atom 64 printers that are designed for use within sign, print and photo shops.
The environmentally friendly, 360 to 1,440 dpi printers use odorless, waterbased ink (“high vibrancy, wide gamut and excellent contour sharpness”) which is harmless to both humans and the environment; it can be applied to both coated and uncoated media for outdoor-durable graphics. They feature Epson’s 10-channel, MicroPiezo, variable-drop printheads that constrict to 3.5 pl.
EPS also offers its range of Elements Krypton Eco-Media biodegradable substrates which, it says, are renewable, reusable and sustainable. Each printer will process roll and rigid media up to 1.5 mm thick; adding an optional Chromium RIP allows users to double the dpi.
IGS UK has also announced Elements Finance, an integrated finance package for purchasers of its Elements line of printers.
Marc Burnett, IGS/EPS marketing director, said EPS is currently in negotiations with numerous potential US suppliers.
