The World’s Fastest, Under Wraps

The Specialty Equipment Marketing Assn. (SEMA) annually showcases trends in the automotive-aftermarket industry at the SEMA Show, which took place November 2-5 in Las Vegas. Epson called on SkinzWraps (Dallas) to design and install a wrap for a Bugatti Veyron, the world’s fastest, street-legal vehicle (top speed 268 mph, value $1.7 to $3.4 million, depending on the level of customization) for display in its booth.

SkinzWraps covered the vehicle with Avery’s MPI 1005 Supercast high-conformability films and printed the graphics on its Epson Stylus Pro GS6000 eight-color, solvent-ink printer. Peter Salaverry, SkinzWraps’ CEO, said, “The Veyron is the ultimate car to wrap. It’s one of the most expensive cars, and the body has some serious curves. It’s part of a trend we’re seeing with wraps. Exotic-car owners want to personalize their vehicles.”
