Times Square Gets “Tired”

Clear Channel Spectacolor, the sign-spectacular division of Clear Channel Outdoor, made its mark on Times Square with a 31 x 98-ft. building wrap that promotes Hankook Tire’s (a Korean based company) high-performance model, Ventus v12 evo. The billboard is installed on the façade of the Marriott Marquis at 1535 Broadway between 45th and 46th streets, where, according to Clear Channel, it’s viewed by more than 500,000 passersby daily and highly visible during the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and Times Square’s legendary New Year’s Eve celebration.

Longmont, CO-based Circle Graphics, which generates graphics for numerous Clear Channel branches, produced the wrap, which features a tire tread and Hankook’s logo and “Driving Emotion” tagline, on a 14.5-mil, 81-in.-wide, 30% perforated, vinyl-mesh material.
