Times Square Prison

Visitors to New York’s Times Square have been sent to prison. A simulated prison scene atop a Times Square building was designed to advertise the DVD release of HBO’s third season of Oz, a prison-life drama. Created by Atomic Props and Effects (St. Paul, MN) and Levy Lighting (New York City), the eye-catching ad includes a "barbed wire" fence created from painted pipe cleaners. Complete with prison guards, an 8 x 10-ft., steel-and-wood guard tower atop an 18-ft.-high steel truss was paneled with opaque white Plexiglas
