The winners of Ultimate Wrap Star 2018 (Orlando, FL) were recently announced. The competition was held at the Intl. Sign Assn.’s Sign Expo and was sponsored by 3M, Mutoh, Mr. Clipart, ROLINX and IBOW (the International Brotherhood of Wrappers). This tournament-style event featured individuals facing off in timed “matches” over the three days, with winners advancing to semifinals and finals.

Wouter Knol from the Netherlands won first place, with Istvan Hargittai, Matt Braswell and Albert Hatfield (all from the US), taking second, third and fourth places, respectively. The competition took quality of installation into greatest account, though speed also played a role given the time limits. Penalties were assessed for bubbles, wrinkles, patches, loose edges and over-stretched vinyl.
