Value Vinyls (Grand Prairie, TX) is introducing Opaque Ultra-Smooth, a 15-oz., polyethylene (PET) blockout media. The material provides curl-free edges and is offered for single- or double-sided, printed banners used for retail or tradeshow-graphic applications. According to the company, it engineered the PET with a special film that flattens after the substrate has been rolled. Opaque Ultra-Smooth comprises indoor-grade material that’s certified as NFPA 701 fire-retardant, and is compatible with all inkjet and screenprinting inks, as well as pressure-sensitive lettering adhesions. Value Vinyls sells the material from 26 to 196 in. wide.
