Vehicle Wrap of the Day: Wicked Wraps Takes An Infiniti Beyond

Box trucks, delivery vans and souped-up hot rods are most commonly associated with vehicle wraps, but the ongoing boom in the wrap market has made them commonplace on even upscale makes and models. Wicked Wraps (Mukilteo, WA) developed one for small-business owners who drive an 2009 Infiniti EX35 and wanted a hip, sporty wrap. Shop owners Wade and Katherine Becher hired a body shop to remove all the door handles, grille pieces, roof racks and other parts to ensure an obstructed wrap.

The shop created the wrap using Avery Dennison’s MPI 1005 Supercast Easy Apply RS on an HP DesignJet L26500 latex-ink printer. To keep the wrap’s promotion vital, Wicked Wraps laminated the wrap with Avery DOL 1360 glossy overlaminate that’s applied with a Mistral Kala pressure laminator. The Bechers used Knifeless Tech Systems knifeless-tape installation system, Geek Wraps soft-edge, felt squeegees and a propane torch.
