Vehicle Wrap of the Day: MODOT Canvases Show Me State

The Missouri Dept. of Transportation (MODOT) wanted to take to the road to promote Missouri on the Move, a project that put MODOT representatives on the road to get feedback from Missourians about what type of infrastructure investments they’d like to see across the Show Me State. MODOT hired Craftsmen Industries (St. Charles, MO) to wrap the vans, which ciriThe entire fleet of vans were wrapped in orange Avery Supreme 900 cast vinyl. For the wrap’s graphics, they printed logos with Avery MPI 1005 Supercast Easy Apply RS film on an HP LX 850 latex-ink printer. To keep the orange backdrop and its graphics crisp, they applied Avery DOL 1360 glossy topcoat with a 54-in. Seal laminator. Craftsmen decorated the windows using 3M’s Scotchcal IJ 8171 perforated window film.

The Missouri On the Move project crisscrossed the state; it visited 232 communities and logged more than 25,000 miles, according to Craftsmen, and gleaned 12,000-plus suggestions. The vibrant wrap system underscores that even government agencies recognize the cost-effective value of branding its initiatives to improve responses and communication.
