Viscom Italia

VISCOM ITALIA, the international fair for the world of visual communication, will take place from October 21 to 23 in the Fiera Milano exhibition centre in Rho. Roughly 40,000 sq. meters of exhibition space, more than 500 international suppliers and 20,000 international visitors are expected.
Sectors represented at the show include large-format digital printing and imaging, signmaking and display panels, textile promotion, screenprinting, pad printing, engraving, laser and POP.
New features include the launch of the first edition of the Screenprinting Technique School, designed to bring suppliers together with current and future screenprinting clients. Three days of ongoing training sessions will allow participants to sharpen their Technique. Also in the spotlight will be eco-sustainability, with the Green Trail, a new event that will take visitors through Green Communication, pointing out the stands of those exhibitors that offer eco-sustainable products and providing the chance to find out more about the “green” alternatives.
Wrap The World is a three-day competition in which new decoration professionals will pit their skills against one another. Wrappers will show off not only how fast they are, but also just how professional, competent and accurate.
As is now customary, the Viscom Forum will offer seminars that feature testimonials of winning projects. Matching, through the website www.visualcommunication.it, allows visitors to set up one-to-one appointments with seminar participants.
Also back this year, ViscomLabs offers live demonstrations that take place throughout the three-day event, allowing visitors to watch processes in progress and draw inspiration from innovative ideas.
Digital Signage by Viscom, the area inaugurated last year, will be presenting the new frontiers of digital communication. At the centre of the exhibition area, the Digital Signage Forum will be offering the chance to learn, from industry experts, how interactive communication projects are created, how they work and what they are used for, and how they can transmit the right message to the right client at the right time.
In the Competition Area, visitors will view the works selected for this year’s two Viscom Awards, Display Superstar Italia and the Bulino d’Oro prize.
Display SuperstarITALIA, now in its eighth edition, will offer POP producers an opportunity to show off their creativity. The Bulino d’Oro, the biennial award dedicated to the engraving industry, now in its third edition, will be spotlighting Italian-made products through new applications.
Visit www.visualcommunication.it and pre-register by October 15 for free entry to the fair.
The website also offers a full range of updates and useful information on the exhibitors present, the full program of events, further details and indications on how to get to the fair and organise your stay in Milan.
Viscom Italia is organised by Reed Exhibitions.
