HP (Palo Alto, CA) has introduced the Scitex TJ8300 solvent and TJ8500 UV-cure printers. Both have a sheet output size up to 65 x 145 in. and can print at up to 4,300 sq. ft./hr. in six colors and sharp 8-point text. Resolution ranges from 336 dpi at 1312 sq. ft./hr. to 600 dpi at 328 sq. ft./hr. The machines can print 100 billboards in eight hours. An upgrade offers double-sided printing.
