Xaar (Cambridge, U.J.; Grand Prairie, TX) is releasing its Xaar 1003 family of industrial inkjet printheads that are a progression of its well-established 1001 and 1002 printhead line. The 1003 printheads feature an XaarGuard™ nozzle-plate protection system and an extended maintenance system. In addition, the 1003 line features the X-Act™ MEMS manufacturing process, which improves print quality in single-pass applications, and Xaar’s TF Hybrid Side Shooter architecture recirculation system that ensures reliability in industrial environments. The Xaar 1003 will be available in three variants: the 1003 GS12 for ceramics applications; the Xaar 1003 GS6 for fine-detail imaging, and the Xaar 1003 GS40 for special effects. In addition, the Xaar 1003 is easy to install and backwards compatible with the Xaar 1002 and Xaar 1001 printheads.
