Banners and Signs Plus (Washington, D.C.), a large-format printing company that works with many sign companies and ad agencies, now produces superlarge banners with its Scitex XL 1500 grand-format printer. In addition to banners, the Scitex XL1500 printer, which can print up to 16-ft. wide, can produce floor graphics, vehicle wraps and tradeshow/event displays.
When the New York Subway commissioned the Banners and Signs for a graphics facelift, the company used adhesive-backed vinyl with a protective film laminate to withstand the daily grind. The outdoor-durable ink also helped maximize color intensity and withstand weathering.
Banners and Signs Plus provides large-format printing services on banners, paper, photo paper, film, vinyl, mesh and fabric.
The company also employs HP 9000 and 10000 solvent printers; Oce large- and direct- format printers; a MultiCam CNC router; Universal Laser Systems’ X660 60-watt laser engraver; and a large-format, dye-sublimation printer.
Finishing work is done completely inhouse with equipment ranging from Seiko industrial sewing machines to a large Miller Weldmaster vinyl seam welder.
Banners and Signs Plus also offers banner stands and other products to support the printed items.
