ONYX Graphics Inc. (Salt Lake City) has released its ONYX® Imagez™ software, which the company says, is a basic, affordable, RIP package designed for entry-level, large-format, aqueous- and solvent-inkjet printers. The package was designed for single-person shops or inhouse printmakers who want complete control over print operations in order to obtain professional print results. It’s easy-to-use interface delivers great color output and offers media-saving nesting tools, the company states. The RIP will produce an on-screen proof of the actual print color, which eliminates the need for a test print. The nesting feature (automated or manual) affects further savings.
ONYX’s award-winning color production engine features a simple workflowprocess that’s designed for non-production applications. It includes PANTONE® spot-color matching and supports aqueous-based, inkjet printers from Canon, Epson and HP, as well as entry-level solvent printers from HP, Mimaki, Mutoh and Roland. A free, full-featured, 30-day trial is available online.
