On April 14, the Atlanta Braves opened SunTrust Park, the franchise’s new 41,000-seat home in Cobb County, Georgia. A new ballpark means plenty of businesses have a chance to contribute to the new structure – located about 14 miles northwest of downtown Atlanta – and in the case of audio, video and digital signage, Panasonic Corp. (Osaka, Japan) stepped up to the plate.

Panasonic designed and installed an array of AV solutions, notably the 120.9 x 64.3-ft. SMD LED videoboard in center field, the 90.1 x 27.7-ft. SMD LED out-of-town scoreboard in left field and the 709.9 x 3.78-ft. SMD LED ribbon fascia displays along the first and third base lines. Panasonic is also responsible for a sizable chunk of the digital signage at SunTrust as well as The Battery Atlanta, the entertainment district adjacent to the new ballpark.
