Silver State Artistry Rewarded

The Nevada Department of Education, Nevada Department of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, and the Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) have created a program in which Nevada high school graphic artists will leave their creative mark on the state’s highway signage for years to come.

NDOT recently began installation of the new “Welcome to Nevada” signs, which replace older welcome signs – including those displaying a lone prospector – that were erected about 25 years ago. The new signage will be featured at approximately 25 state border crossings.
