Bulbrite (Moonachie, NJ), a manufacturer and supplier of innovative, energy-efficient light source solutions, has received SSL Quality Advocates' Lighting Facts Labels for its full line of LED MR-16s, LED R30, and dimmable LED PAR30 and PAR38, signifying their test completion by a government approved lab.

Nine BULBRITE SKUs were approved. These products include: a LED MR-16 1-watt (warm white and daylight), LED MR-16 3-watt (warm white and daylight), LED MR-16 GU-10 (warm white and daylight), LED 18W R30, dimmable LED 14W PAR-30, and a dimmable LED 24W PAR-38.

As part of the approval process, manufacturers take a pledge and submit testing results for IESNA LM-79 from an independent qualified laboratory. Bulbrite is one of only eight partners that have the Lighting Facts Label, and they lead this small group with the most number of SKUs.

The Lighting Facts Label helps accelerate the adoption of LED technology by providing factual light-source performance information to distributors, specifiers and consumers/users. This data includes:

1) Lumens, a measurement of light output. The higher the number, the more light is emitted.

2) Watts, which measures energy required to light the product. The lower the wattage, the less energy used.

3) Lumens per Watt/Efficacy, which measures efficiency. The higher the number, the more efficient the product.

4) CRI Color Rendering Index, which measures color accuracy. Color rendition is the effect of the lamp's light spectrum on the color appearance of objects.

5) Correlated Color Temperature (CCT), which measures light color. Cool colors have higher Kelvin temperatures (3,600-5,500K); Warm colors have lower color temperatures (2,700-3,500K).

6) IESNA LM-79-2008-Industry standardized test procedure, which measures and compares performance qualities of LED luminaires and integral lamps.
