Catalina Graphic Films Celebrates 45 Years

Catalina Graphic Films (Calabasas Hills, CA), founded in 1968 as Catalina Plastic Suppliers, Inc., is celebrating its 45th anniversary this year.  In 2011, it merged with its sister company, Graphic Materials Intl. (GMI). The company is a custom coater of pressure-sensitive materials for the digital, offset, screenprinting, industrial and specialty markets.
In 1972, the company purchased its first pressure-sensitive-adhesive coating line and became Catalina Plastics and Coating. The core business became the distribution of pressure-sensitive coated plastics and films printed by offset and screen processes. Eventually, it was renamed to Catalina Graphic Films to more accurately reflect the company’s current focus and direction.
