Color-Logic (West Chester, OH) is releasing its Image-FX™ plug-in tool for Adobe Photoshop that, the company says, simplifies positioning and adding metallic effects to a printed image. The Color-Logic Design Suite Image-FX — an image-separation algorithm — allows you to determine how much metallic effect or white ink should be added into an RGB, LAB, or CMYK image. The plug-in eliminates hit-and-miss approaches by analyzing images, calculating the required metallic effect for different tonal regions, and then creating an effect-print plate (separation). The company says it works with a single mouse click,
