Connecticut Sign Pro Knew Just What to Say to Avoid a Giant Font Detour

Font Freak Out

A couple came into the shop to get a boat name, although they were still arguing as to what name they would eventually choose. I picked one of the names they were considering and brought it up on the screen in several styles. The woman said to her husband, “If we had more time, I’d have him show us the name in every type style they have.” I answered: “I’d be happy to show you… We have over 5,000 different fonts, and our computer rate is $175 per hour.” She immediately pointed to the one on the monitor and said, “We’ll take that one.” — John Miller, Signs by Autografix (Branford, CT)
