Roland ASD (Lake Forest, CA) is releasing the GX-24 Servo desktop vinyl cutter. The product operates with a digital servomotor, exerts blade pressure up to 250 grams and cuts up to 20 in./second. An optical registration system detects printer crop marks and aligns media.

The cutter, which can be used on media from two to 27.5 in. wide, can handle such materials as vinyl, paint mask, twill and sandblast. It comes equipped with Roland s CutStudio™ software and can support a Windows or Mac platform.
